For over two decades, Ascent Helicopters has excelled in environments where experience and safety are paramount— from energized transmission lines and wildland and interface wildfires, to critical infrastructure corridors, and emergency response and rescue. We are the one clients call when the work must be done safely, efficiently, and without compromise.
Ascent was founded in 2005 by Trent Lemke — a pilot who believed that helicopter operations could be done differently.
From the beginning, the company was structured around a simple principle: we will go further.
That mindset shaped everything that followed — from pioneering energized line work via aerial hoist access, to supporting innovative provincial wildfire programs, to building long-term partnerships measured in decades, not seasons.

We believe that aviation is not only transportation. It’s trust — at altitude.
Our clients are stakeholders in the most critical of environments: powerline, wildfire, and emergency response. They are accountable to our citizens and our environment.
The decisions we make have a far reaching effect, and we take that responsibility very seriously. We prioritize structure and discipline; as a result, Safety is not a department — it’s our operating system.

Today, Ascent has a large and diversified fleet of rotary-wing aircraft across Canada, the United States, and international markets.
Our work spans utility infrastructure, wildfire management, emergency response, construction, resource management, and specialized operations.
But aircraft are only part of the equation.
We maintain an in-house Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) with mobile maintenance capabilities, a fuel division, first aid department, 24/7 flight following and the best support teams in aviation. This infrastructure allows us to support sustained operations in remote and high-pressure environments without sacrificing reliability.
We are structured for success, not convenience.

Long-Term Thinking
The majority of our partnerships extend beyond short term projects.
We build long-term relationships by providing an excellent product, reliable performance, a personalized approach and effective communication. This long-game mindset means:
Continuous capital reinvestments
Evolving safety standards
Maintaining robust internal training and apprenticeship programs
Recruiting and retaining experienced pilots, engineers, and support staff
Supporting our communities
We are not interested in shortcuts. We are interested in raising the standards of our industry.
The strength of Ascent is not measured in aircraft count. It is measured in experience.

Aviation continues to evolve, so do we.
Ascent invests continuously in operational refinement, product development, and training. We audit internal processes and pursue innovation, not because we are required to — but because strategic evolution strengthens our entire industry.
